  • Govt Children Home for Boys

    Govt Children Home for Boys: Govt Children home for boys having the strength of 100 wards in the age group of 5-17 years is one of the oldest home on the adopted list of The Alpha Foundation.The Foundation arranged the services of tailoring instructor for the wards to learn the tailoring  skill. So far 15 boys learnt it and 15 are in the present batch are   undergoing training.We  donated a color T.V,two pairs of dresses and a lock with key set were given to each ward.

  • Anees Ul Gurba:

    Anees Ul Gurba is an orphanage having strength of 100 wards (both Boys & Girls). 
    The summer camp at Anees Ul Gurba supported by The Alpha Foundation in the trades of English learning, Embriodery/tailoring, and Computers started on 15th May concluded on 15th June. A dental camp was organized on 25th June.85 boys and girls were screened and referred for further treatment and provided with tooth brushes besides teaching them the correct brushing methods. .The Foundation  supported the home for the whole of last academic year by providing teachers in three subjects namely English, Maths and Telugu and going to provide same support from August onwards for this  whole academic year also

  •  Apana Sahara:
  • We started supporting Home “Apna Sahara” from June 2008 onwards. There are around 40 orphan children both Boys and Girls. They are studying in different classes ranging from 1st to 8th.The Home offers free residential facility and also provides food.We are supplementing the salaries of staff  to the extent of Rs 3,500 per month and also provided   stationery worth Rs 15,000 in two semesters.

  • MEANS:
  • Means is an Old age home supported by The Alpha Foundation from Jan 2008.We have been providing   medicines worth Rs 2,500  and fruits Rs  1,500 per month .We have recently increased our assistance to Rs 8,000 towards supply of medicines and fruits to take care of the additional members joined. 

  • Ashray Akruthi:
  • Ashray Akruthi is an organization doing an excellent service in the field of education to the Hearing Impaired students.We conducted a General and Eye camp on 21st June wherein around 130 students got general check up and eye check up.Necessary medicines and glasses were provided.We are also providing a new invertor and the salary of special educator for one year period.We also provided 2 computers for use of students.

  •   KARE clinic:
  • The total no of lady patients availed of the services during the month of June at KARE clinic is 934.There is provision of free consultation and medicines. The clinic has been receiving support from The Foundation since June 2007.Till now approximately over 10,500 lady patients availed of the services of the clinic during the last 13 months period.

  • Shri Gurusankalpam:
  • It is a rehabilitation and vocational training centre for Mentally Challenged children started by the mothers of such children. After the home started receiving support from The Foundation, from November 07, the total strength increased from 40 to 50.We have been providing support by way of paying the monthly rent of Rs 8000 for the additional/spacious premises and supplementing the salaries of the staff to the tune of Rs 12,200. We have also provided phisiotherapy equipment and arranged for services of physiotherapist recently.

  • Youth Skill building, Certification and certification program:
  • We got into an understanding with premier agencies namely National Academy of Construction (NAC) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the “Training, Certification & Employment program for unemployed youth”.We have been mobilizing and supporting the urban unemployed youth for various trades that are offered by both the agencies .The trades offered  include to name a few General work Supervisor (GWS), Land surveyor (L.S)., Store keeper(S.K), Total station, Mason,Welder, Barbending, Electrcian, plumbing, Form work carpentry, 2&4 wheeler mechanic, Refrigiration & A/C mecahnic etc.. So far we sponsored 75 youth and 57 of them are placed with the salaries ranging from 3,500 to 5,500. Presently, around 21 youth are undergoing training.We proposed to continue the partnership with those agencies and set the target of training 150 youth before March 2009.    

  • Dalith Mahila Mandali – Home for old age women:
    10 iron cots, 5 bunker beds, 10 Zinc Sheets (roofing material), 15 pillows and 50 bed sheets have been provided to Dalith Mahila Mandali Old Age Home at Tukaram Gate. We have started supply of free lunch to the inmates from 13 Aug 2007.

The Foundation is supporting Anees-ul-Gurba, an orphanage at Hyderabad by providing computers and two teachers.

  • Annapurna Old Age Home – Home for Aged

Annapurna Old Age Home at Kukatpally is being supported by the Foundation with medical facilities including services of a doctor, medicines and water beds. Fruits are provided to the inmates once a week.

  • Desire Society – Home for HIV/AIDs affected children

DESIRE Society at IDA, Bollaram meant for HIV / AIDS affected children is being supported by the Foundation with doctor visits, medicines, nutrient (Protein X), uniform, stationery, Montessori study and block building material.

  • Ayusha Nilayam – Home for Children of HIV/AIDs affected parents

Ayusha Nilayam at Dilsukhnagar, a home for about 15 orphans born to HIV/AIDS affected parents studying in different schools is supported by the Foundation with financial assistance to cover their tuition fee and text/note books.

  • Sampurna - Home for mentally and physically challenged children

Sampurna, Malakpet is a home for about 25 mentally disabled children aged below 12 years. The Foundation is providing the services of a physiotherapist and a special educator.

  • Bharat Vikas Parishad - Physically handicapped 

The Foundation has donated Rs.50,000/- to Bharat Vikas Parishad, Kukatpally for supply of 50 Calipers (artificial limbs) to physically challenged poor people. The Parishad makes different shapes and sizes of Calipers prescribed by the orthopedist and distributes among the physically handicapped poor.

  • Swadhaar – A home for orphan women

This is home run for orphan women, victims of domestic violence and women trafficking. We have provided two embroidery sewing machines and materials and instructors for conducting tailoring and beautician course.

  • Gurusankalpum – A home for mentally challenged

This is the home for mentally challenged children and houses around 40 children. The Foundation is providing financial help for taking additional premises to increase the strength and payment of 50% of short fall in the honorarium paid to the instructors who provide specialized training to the inmates.
