The managements of Indus World School, Yapral and The Alpha Foundation have agreed to have collaboration in the following areas for sensitization, awareness generation and learning from each other:
- Student exchange programmes
- Teachers and other staff exchange programmes
- Participation in community services conducted by the Foundation
- Student tutors/resource persons disseminating knowledge and various skills
- Participation in various extra curricular activities like sports, dance, music etc.
- Sale of greeting cards
- Donation of clothes, books, toys, medicines etc.
It was a wonderful beginning of the partnership with the Kho-Kho Team from Indus World School taking on the Kho-Kho Team of IRS, Dontanpally in a friendly match during the Annual Sports Meet of the IRS at IDPL Grounds on 25th November 2006. Smt. Deepa Bannerji, Vice Principal of Indus World School along with some staff members and parents enjoyed the outing with the students by joining in the lunch and the festivities with the IRS Staff and students.
A presentation on the Foundation and IRS was conducted for the staff and parents of the Indus World School on 9th December 2006. Greeting cards made from the paintings of the students of IRS were also sold in the premises of Indus World School. It generated awareness and goodwill among many of the parents and staff and some of the parents expressed their desire to support the education of some underprivileged children studying in IRS, Fatehnagar.
Mr. Surya Kumar & Mrs. Vasundhara, parents of a student of Indus World School, visited the IRS, Fatehnagar on 16th December 2006 and donated Rs.10000/- to support one child’s education. We are grateful to them for their generous contribution in bringing a positive change in a child’s life they do not even know. Periodic progress report of the child they have chosen to support shall be sent to them.
